We are recognizing a momentous milestone at Enatai Elementary School on Tuesday, February 6, 6:00-8:00 p.m., and everyone is invited!
Enatai Elementary was opened in 1953, and we will commemorate our 65th anniversary with a special PTSA-sponsored community event: CELEBRATE ENATAI AT 65! The free event is open to current and former students, staff, parents, neighbors and friends.
The evening will feature an illuminating slide presentation on Enatai's history. You'll be amazed to learn how much of Enatai's growth and development are closely intertwined with that of the City of Bellevue. Did you know the very first public log-cabin schoolhouse in the City was built in 1883 on the very spot where Enatai sits? Yes, public education began at Enatai!
There will be an exhibition of memorabilia from the early days, as well as musical entertainment by members of the Enatai Choir. We are expecting many special guests, including original Enatai students, who were enrolled on opening day in 1953.
While the program for this event would be most appreciated by older students (4th and 5th graders), and adults, all are welcome to attend.
