Our 2nd grade students are just finishing up their social studies unit on Communities.  This year, students got a first hand chance to explore Bellevue Square Mall and Lincoln Square businesses and see how they are helping our community.

At The Studios the students learned how Kemper Development built Bellevue Square and how it has changed and grown over the years.  The Container Store discussed the importance of being organized. Students practiced their own organization skills while pretending to shop and find items in the store that might help them be more organized.  At the Microsoft Store students learned about the company and the different programs they offer to help community education.  The kids also got hands on time to experience some of their products.  At the Eddie Bauer Store students learned about Eddie Bauer's test products, the company's goals in promoting getting outdoors, and how they give back.

A special thanks to these businesses for allowing all four classrooms to visit! Students wrapped up their day with lunch at Downtown Bellevue Park and playing on the Inspiration Playground.

Thank you for supporting the Enatai PTSA so field trips like this can happen!
