Movie Night on Friday, March 6 won’t be your ordinary Movie Night. This time you won’t just see and hear what’s onscreen. You’ll smell, taste and feel it, too. So bring your nose, your taste buds, and your imagination to see the classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), presented in “Sense-o-rama”!

“Sense-o-rama” is an enhanced way to watch a movie. There will be free goody bags filled with aromatic and sweet treats. At different points during the film, the audience will participate and be immersed in what’s happening onscreen. (Because our supply of goody bags is limited to 200, we will distribute to children first, and then adults. Please arrive on time.)

COSTUME CONTEST ALERT!:
Dress as your favorite character from the movie, and you could win a prize! Both adults and children are eligible. Be creative!

Movie Night is held in the Multipurpose Room. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the program starts at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free. Make sure to enter the prize drawing for The Movie Night Sofa, and your child could win the best seats in the house. Kids may bring blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags to sit on the floor. Chairs are provided, but you may also bring folding camp chairs. Keep all high-back chairs on the perimeter.

This is a family event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop-offs allowed. This is especially important since we will be distributing food items for consumption.

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is rated G. To see if this film is appropriate for your child, see the review and trailer at CommonSenseMedia.org.

We need volunteers to help run this special Movie Night, which will also be the last one of the school year. Please sign up to work a shift.
