Academic Adventure: Multicultural Travel Posters
Hello Academic Adventurers! To earn Academic Adventure credit, create a travel poster to encourage people to visit a country that interests you.  Multi-Cultural Poster instructions available  here .   And yes, you will receive a sticker for completing this adventure! Pokémon Detective Pikachu  was the feature at last Friday’s Movie Night, where 115 kids in the audience entered the prize drawing that included a surprise furry bonus. Congratulations  Team CSEEDS  (Cameron, Sydney, Enzo, Ellie, Daniel and Sophia) for finishing second in the Intra District level!  These students did an excellent job showing their in depth knowledge of the 6 challenge books and representing Enatai Eagles.    Each year, King County Library System partners with local schools for a competition called  Global Reading Challenge  (GRC). Teams of 4th and 5th graders read six selected books and then answer questions about the books.  Team CSEEDS won the right to represent Enatai in our school competition on February 3rd.   If your student is looking for a good book to read, check ... read full article

It’s Almost Here!!! The Totally 80s Toast
The event team has been very busy working on the biggest fundraiser of the school year! The Totally 80’s Toast will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the Mercer Island Event Center.  We are so excited to host all of you for an evening of food, drinks and dancing along with the opportunity to bid on teacher, family and group experiences, parties, travel and amazing items donated by local businesses, professional sports teams and art work created by our own Enatai students.  Tickets go on sale February 1st. In its sixth year, Enatai Eagle Academic Adventure (EEAA) is refreshed and expanded to encourage kids to experience many of the PTSA-sponsored activities that are available to every Enatai student. For each adventure they complete this year, students will earn a  limited-edition, collectible sticker  to save in a keepsake album. Kids who collect multiple stickers are eligible for awards at the end of the school year. The Bellevue School District is conducting a survey on family engagement in order to strengthen relationships between schools and families. Creating meaningful partnerships with parents helps students succeed both academically and socially. When families engage, student attitudes and behavior are more positive, attendance is better, there are more opportunities to honor diverse cultural backgrounds, and open communication allows us to learn from each other. Global Reading Challenge!
Each year, King County Library System partners with local schools for a competition called  Global Reading Challenge  (GRC). Teams of 4th and 5th graders read six selected books and then answer questions about the books. Eight 4th and 5th graders participated in the school competition of the 2019-2020 National Geographic Geobee.  Andy Young, Armita Amini, Isaac Yeung, Isobel Tran, Jason Gu, Joey Yoon, Sydney Suh, and Theo Ureche were the participants. Ms. Chun and Ms. Maxwell officiated the competition. Geo Bee School Finals Results Announced
The School-Level Final Round of the 2019-2020 National Geographic Geobee was held on January 26.  Armita Amini, Izzy Tran, Jason Gu, Joey Yoon, and Theo Ureche worked on challenging geographical questions. Ms. Chun and Ms. Maxwell officiated the event.  Jason Gu won the 1 st  place and became the Enatai school champion. Babysitting Co-Op MEET and GREET this Sunday, December 8th at 7pm There is a wonderful parent-led babysitting Cooperative that has been in operation for over 30 years and was started by Enatai moms. The basic idea is that you do babysitting swaps and trade hours instead of dollars with other local families. It’s well structured with a chairperson and rotating Secretary that keeps track of the sits and the hours. Triangle Pool Summer 2019 Memberships Available!
