Join us at Family Reading Night, Oct. 3 from 5:45 - 7:15pm. Bring your family to look at books and listen to special stories read by our Enatai teachers/staff. Students should feel free to come in their PJs! This is a great time to purchase a book for your child's classroom from teacher's wish lists or books to stock your shelves ahead of Enatai's Read-A-Thon Fundraiser!
Mark your calendar so you don’t miss Movie Night, which returns to Enatai Elementary Friday, October 6, 6:00-8:00 p.m. with DisneyNature’s Born in China (2017). Movie Night has a long community tradition at Enatai, dating back to at least the 1970s. Families would join together to watch films like “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” and “Old Yeller” before there were VCRs.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for families to find their seats, get some snacks, and mingle with neighbors. Kids may enter the free prize drawings. Fresh hot popcorn, bottled water and licorice will be for sale with proceeds going to the PTSA. Additionally, there’s always a surprise or two at Movie Night, so don’t miss out!
There will be chairs set up in the Multipurpose Room for Movie Night, but kids may bring pillows, blankets and/or sleeping bags to sit on the floor. Parents may bring folding camp chairs, but try to bring ones with low backs. Keep high-backed chairs on the perimeter to prevent blocking our youngest audience members.
There are are still many holes to fill for volunteers!! If you are planning to attend Movie Night, please use this link and sign up to help out! If you have any questions about Movie Night, please email Sharon Pang.
Parental Advisory: Although rated “G” DisneyNature’s Born in China includes footage depicting some cruel realities of life in the wild. Scenes of animal peril and death may be disturbing for very little or sensitive children. Please review the details of the film at CommonSenseMedia.org to decide what is appropriate for your child.
Congratulations to Melissa Kaptik, winner of last week's Starbucks Gift Card! I thought maybe since I plugged this newsletter feature at Curriculum Night, we should give it another go. Send an email to communications@enataiptsa.org with the subject line "I LOVE ENATAI" and I'll put your name into the hat for a $5 Starbucks GC. My treat. I'll draw a name on Sunday, Oct 1. Good luck!
