Special General PTSA Meeting to discuss 4th Grade Aide Funding:  2/26 7:30 AM

At the PTSA board meeting on 2/7, Principal Amy MacDonald brought to our attention that 4th grade class sizes are getting too big, with 28 students in each of the three classes.  She would like PTSA's help in funding an additional instructional aide who would work primarily with 4th grade through the end of the year.  Principal MacDonald has 25% of the funding from her school budget, another 25% from the District, and would like PTSA's help in funding the remaining 50%.  Our portion of this expense would be $10,000.  We will be discussing this issue and perhaps voting on amending the budget on February 26, 2018, at 7:30 AM in the front lobby.

All PTSA Members are encouraged to attend this meeting!!  Not sure if you are a PTSA Member?  Check your account status on our website.  If you have a membership purchase listed under "Orders," you are a member.  Another way to check is that all paid members have access to the online directory.  If you are not a member and would like to become one, you can join here.

Note:  We're hearing reports of inclement weather in the area.  In the event that schools are closed or delayed tomorrow due to weather, we will reschedule the meeting for Tuesday, 2/27 at 7:30 AM.

"Incredibles" Movie Night is THIS FRIDAY & Needs Volunteers!

Only two people have signed up to help chair Sharon Pang out with Movie Night this Friday.  If you are planning on attending movie night, please sign up to help out in some way.  Many hands make light work.

It’s the final Movie Night of the school year on Friday, March 2, and we will be screening The Incredibles (2004), a Disney Pixar film about the adventures of a superhero crime fighter and his family, who return to adventuring after spending years living "normal" lives.  Did you know the sequel to The Incredibles, called The Incredibles 2, will be released this June?  Movie Night will be a good chance to see the original before seeing the sequel on the big screen!

The Incredibles is rated PG, but please check out the review and trailer on CommonSenseMedia.org to decide if appropriate for your child. Admission is FREE thanks to your donations to the PTSA.

Mark your calendar for Seussical!

"Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters collide in Seussical, a fantastical music extravaganza.

Two nights only! Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10, at 7:00PM
Bellevue High School Performing Arts Center
Tickets: $10, available starting March 7 at Chinook and at BHS the night of the performances

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
