Special General Membership PTSA Meeting:  Monday 10/22

At our last PTSA Board meeting, Principal Amy MacDonald presented a proposal created by our third grade teacher, Mr Wilkins, that would bring a team of professional actors, Angela and Terence Kelley, to run an after-school Drama Program at Enatai. The PTSA has been asked to provide funding for an expense of $7,000.  We will be discussing this issue and perhaps voting on amending the budget on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 6:00 PM in the STEM Room

The PTSA Board is aware that members have questions about this program.  Mr Wilkins and Principal MacDonald plan to attend this meeting to participate in the discussion and answer questions.  The PTSA Board will also be there to provide budget information and discuss the effects of adding this program this year.

All PTSA Members are encouraged to attend this meeting!  This is a significant budget expense requiring our members' input!  Per our Standing Rules, only current PTSA Members present are allowed to vote.  Please attend!

School Food Share launches at Enatai!

This week parents, students and teachers came together to launch the School Food Share program at Enatai! This is a program to recover uneaten food from the school cafeteria and distribute it to a local food bank.

All students are always encouraged first to eat as much as they'd like and then donate anything that is leftover and unopened like unopened milk, yogurts, applesauce, string cheese etc. In the past, these unused items were put in the trash and became landfill.

We are excited to bring this program to Enatai and will provide updates during the year!

Olivier Watson-Lamb (5th grade student), Julie Uyeda (parent) and Catriona Watson (parent)
