Principal and PTSA Coffee Hour 12/20

Meet with Principal Amy MacDonald and Enatai PTSA at the monthly Principal and PTSA Coffee Hour.

Topic:  Achievement Network (ANET)
When:
  Thursday, December 20th at 8:00-9:00am
Where: Enatai STEM Room

At this principal coffee, we will share information about Enatai’s partnership with the Achievement Network, what this work looks like for teachers and students, and share how this work is central to our professional learning at Enatai. While the partnership impacts grades 2nd -5th most directly, we will also share its impact on kindergarten and 1st grade as well.

"Wizard of Oz"  Parent Report

Faculty advisors and the directors for Enatai's new drama program met with parents Thursday night to discuss details of this new program for Enatai's 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.   Angela and Terence Kelley stressed that this program would be tailored to serve the students of Enatai with the goal of creating moments for every student to shine.  The Wizard of Oz will be presented as a "play with music" and can accommodate anywhere from 30 to 200 performers. Everyone who tries out will get a part.  Lead roles will require a time commitment of 2 hours of rehearsal after school every school day.  Auditions will be on January 22nd with call-backs on the 23rd.  Students will not audition for any specific role but will participate in exercises to determine their strengths.  No parents are allowed at auditions.  Students will be considered for roles without restriction by race or gender.  Responsible upper grade students may also audition to be on the technical crew.  Final performance dates are March 14th and 15th.

This program was funded by the Enatai PTSA and there is NO COST for students to participate.  While this program meets and performs outside school hours it will be run by the Enatai administration.   Our Producer, third grade teacher Mr Wilkins, will be working to help students who have after-school supervision or transportation concerns.

-This report was written by a parent who attended the meeting. Information released by the school may override information contained here. Please contact Mr. Wilkins if you have additional questions about this program.
