Wizard of Oz Auditions 1/22

This will be Enatai’s first school play, and we are thrilled to have Angela and Terence Kelley as our professional director and choreographer. Students in 3rd through 5th grades are welcome to participate.  Parents are strongly encouraged to read the Wizard of Oz Registration Packet for additional requirements, information, and all forms listed below.

Tuesday, January 22nd from 2:30 to 5:00
Cast Auditions for 4th and 5th graders (Enatai Gym)

There will be cast auditions for students in 4th and 5th grades. To be in the play these auditions for 4th – 5th grade are mandatory and are closed to parents.  4th and 5th graders must complete and bring the following documents to auditions Tuesday, January 22nd:
- Cast Audition Registration Form
- Photo/Video Release Form

There will be group sign-ups for the 3rd graders.  3rd Graders must complete the Group Sign-Up Form and return it to the front office.   For 4th and 5th Graders, limited space is available in the Backstage/Tech crew.  Fill out the Backstage/Tech Form in the Registration Packet and return it to the front office by January 22nd.

Remember! Accepting a part in the play, however big or small, is an important commitment!

Toast to Enatai Fundraising Gala 3/9

We are just 7 weeks away from our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year! The Toast to Enatai PTSA gala and auction will help raise funds to support educational programs for our kids for years to come!

Join us Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 6-10pm at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue where you’ll enjoy a fun-filled social event with enticing auction items, great food and beverages, all while connecting with your neighbors.

GeoBee Semi-Finalists

Congratulations to all GeoBee participants this year!  They spent much time and effort preparing for the competition in the past few months and showcased their impressive geographic knowledge at the preliminary school-level competition on January 13th!  You can read more about the GeoBee program at our website.

Next Movie Night to Feature Trolls

Trolls (2016) will be the featured attraction at Movie Night, scheduled for Friday, February 1, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Enatai Multipurpose Room. Please mark your calendar, and join other neighborhood families for an evening of fun. Admission is free.

Trolls, created by DreamWorks Animation, is a colorful animated musical featuring the classic tall-haired Troll dolls from the 1960s, brought to life. In the movie, optimistic Princess Poppy (Anna Kendrick) joins curmudgeon Branch (Justin Timberlake) on an adventure after Troll Village is invaded. The film’s score is full of memorable toe-tapping tunes, such as the popular “Can’t Stop the Music”. The storyline emphasizes positive messages about finding happiness and overcoming obstacles.

4th Grade Parents’ Coffee Set for February 1

Come catch up with fellow 4th grade parents, and perhaps meet somebody new!

WHERE: Dilettante Mocha Cafe: 1450 114th Ave. SE in the Conifer Bldg. at Bellefield Office Park
WHEN: Friday, February 1, 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
FEATURING: For each guest, modern calligraphy artist and Enatai resident Olivia Burns will be on hand to create a complimentary bookmark or Valentine, personalized with a name or phrase. Ms. Burns is an alumnus of Enatai Elementary and recent graduate of Bellevue High School.

Scholastic Book Fair is Coming Soon!

Enatai PTSA will be hosting our Spring Scholastic Book Fair February 4-8th.  There will be an Evening Shopping Event Wednesday February 6th from 5:30-7:30pm.  Hosting a Scholastic Book Fair helps Enatai PTSA earn Scholastic Dollars to purchase books for each classroom and school library as well as "Scholastic News" for ALL students.

It takes many volunteers to make the book fair a success.  Volunteering at the book fair is easy and fun.  Interesting in helping? There are many slots to fill-SIGNUP HERE. If you have questions, please email bookfair@enataiptsa.org.

Curriculum Enhancement Updates

Thanks to a Bellevue Schools Foundation grant and additional funding from Enatai PTSAAlex Zerbe was able to bring an educational and entertaining ALL SCHOOL assembly on Friday, January 11th! The Come Alive Assembly Alex uses his many talents to inspire kid's creativity through Physical Education, Arts and Literacy. He also brought a message about the importance of confidence, persistence and self-expression. Ask you student what was their favorite part.

Friday January 11th-  3rd Grade Island of Hope-Living Voices
Students learned why people immigrated to America, the hardships they endured leaving their homeland, passing through Ellis Island and establishing a new life in America. Thank you Bellevue Schools Foundation for funding this enriching theatrical experience and support what our 3rd Graders are learning in social studies this year!

Bellevue School Foundations
ANGST: RAISING AWARENESS AROUND ANXIETY
The Bellevue Schools Foundation, in partnership with Medina, Chinook and Odle I-Connect, is hosting two screenings of an important film, Angst, created to start community conversations about ANXIETY and provide tools, resources and hope.  The event will feature a viewing of the 56-minute film, followed by an informative panel discussion.  The film is not recommended for children under age ten.
