Students explored molecular changes at our Mad Science assembly yesterday. Rockin' Robin demonstrated various molecular changes in matter using fire and dry ice (solid carbon dioxide). A piece of paper caught on fire and disappeared! A magic potion combined with Robin's own energy became too big for its small space and exploded! With the help of some Enatai students dry ice cloud bubbles were created and a balloon inflated as carbon dioxide changed from solid to gas! A hardboiled egg found its way into a small opening with the help of fire, and out again with the help of ice!
We hope the show inspired students to participate in our Science Fair next week, March 7th, 6:00-7:30pm in the Enatai Gym. It will be an evening of interactive science fun including student displays, hands-on experiments, and a family engineering challenge. This is a great time to have your questions answered and see examples of what other families have done in past years.

A Message from our Librarian:
I am currently looking for volunteers to assist in the library on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesday mornings from the start of school until 9 or 10 AM. Mostly, I need assistance checking books in and shelving them. I can also use parents to help assist my kindergarten (Wednesday) and 1st graders (Mondays) check out books. Please consider volunteering your time. You can email me at leecharleen@bsd405.org with the days/times you are available.
Thank you,
Charleen Lee, Teacher-Librarian
Enatai's Choir was invited to participate in the Bellevue School District West Zone Choral Concert on February 26th at Bellevue High School. Enatai students, along with Clyde Hill Elementary, Wilburton Elementary, Woodridge Elementary, Chinook Middle School and Bellevue High School, showcased their singing talents. Enatai students sang America for Me and Stand by Me. The grand finale happened at the end of the evening where all the schools performed This is Me -from The Greatest Showman.
Thank you, Sharon Peterson, for your time working with our choir students and allowing them to have this wonderful experience!
All student directory orders have been delivered. Five directories are available for immediate purchase by PTSA members on a first come basis for $10 each.

Bellevue School District has just announced changes to the school calendar to make up for those school days missed because of snow. School will now be held on Friday, March 15th and Friday, June 21st. This replaces the Professional Day formerly planned for March 15th and extends the school calendar by one day.
Although five days was missed because of snow, only these two days are confirmed make up days. Students are expected to attend school on Friday, March 15th and Friday, June 21st. Parents, please review any pickup plans or after school care to ensure they are aware of this change. Additional calendar changes may be forthcoming after a review by the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
