THANK YOU to all the students, teachers, staff and Enatai community who helped support the Hopelink End Summer Hunger Coin Drive. This year, with the help of our student leadership and co-chairs Olivier Watson-Lamb & Julie Uyeda, Enatai helped raised over $2000. Thanks for helping the Eagles support their community and Hopelink to End Summer Hunger!

If you didn't get a chance to contribute you can still support our Enatai Elementary student page by donating online HERE!

The Washington School Food Share Program was developed to help prevent and minimize wasted food in schools and redirect consumable food to those who need it.  In October, Enatai Elementary joined with seven other BSD elementary schools (Puesta del Sol, Spiritridge, Woodridge, Medina, Eastgate, Somerset and Lake Hills) to help recover 23,632 pounds of food from the cafeteria and share it with those who need it most in our community.  Enatai parent volunteers were essential to the success of this program! Volunteers would collect the food from the cafeteria and bring it to Hopelink's Bellevue food bank were it is sorted, weighed and put out for distribution.  This year Enatai Elementary collected approximately 2,400 pounds of food.  Did you know that over half of this was milk cartons? About 2,960 cartons of milk.....that's a lot of milk!  Milk is the number one most popular item for clients and yogurt is a close second.  Since the food bank gets a large weekly supply of milk and dairy products from our schools' program, they are able to focus their budget on purchasing fresh produce.

Thank you to the students, cafeteria staff and parent volunteers who made this year's Food Share Program a success.  If you are interested in helping next year with the collection and delivery of food, contact programs@enataiptsa.org.

Third Grade learns about Global Trade

On Monday, June 17th the Third Grade students set sail on the Puget Sound for an Argosy Harbor Cruise.  The field trip served as the highlight of their final economy lesson on cargo ships and Global Trade.  On the cruise, students learned from the cruise narration about the history of Seattle and the longshoremen in Port of Seattle.  Afterwards, the students enjoyed lunch and playing at Luther Burbank park.

Thank you, PTSA, for fully funding this experience for our third grade students and their chaperones!

Thank you to our Event Chairs and Volunteers for bringing these fun events to our community!  Thank you, Marnie Kazarian, Julie Uyeda, and Cheryl Evanson for organizing our Field Day!  Thank you, Jesse Pacem and Stacy Saal for organizing Carnival!

See Photos on the updated Field Day and Carnival webpages!

Special Thanks to our Corporate Partners!

WANTED: 2019-2020 Chairs

Interested in supporting programs and events at Enatai that you value? Each year our graduating 5th grade class takes their parents with them to middle school, leaving positions open.  Here is an updating list of events/programs without Chairs for the upcoming year.  Other positions could use a Co-Chair partner or a Shadow, who learns from the existing Chairs before they leave for middle school the following year.

The PTSA's school events and programs have a history at Enatai: take part in the well oiled machine of planning that lets us produce these year after year.  Bring your own ideas to the framework the past provides.  Email us for more information!
