EGG DROP REGISTRATION DEADLINE - TODAY!

Egg Drop Challenge will be on Friday, September 27th during Lunch Recess!  We are excited that the Bellevue Fire Department Ladder Truck is partnering with Enatai to help drop students containers from 75 ft. Every student is encouraged to participate in the challenge! Grab a friend(s) or make one yourself. What engineering design will you come up with to protect the egg from cracking: a cushioned container, a shock absorbing contraption or some sort of suspension design?

Here are some important rules to remember:

- DO NOT PUT AN EGG IN YOUR CONTAINER- please bring eggless container to school on Friday. PTSA volunteers will be putting eggs in a ziploc bag to help prevent messy clean ups!
-  NO SPLATTERABLES-no flour, jello, water, etc
-  NO PARACHUTES-we will have a lot of projects to drop and this will slow down the drops (including no helium balloons)
-  NO Metals, wood, glass or other dangerous items for the drop

PLEASE CHECK OUT MORE SPECIFIC RULES HERE

Enatai Eagle Academic Adventure

In its sixth year, Enatai Eagle Academic Adventure (EEAA) is refreshed and expanded to encourage kids to experience many of the PTSA-sponsored activities that are available to every Enatai student. For each adventure they complete this year, students will earn a limited-edition, collectible sticker to save in a keepsake album. Kids who collect multiple stickers are eligible for awards at the end of the school year. Also new this year is a "Choose Your Own Adventure" in which kids pick something they want to learn/try/do this year.

Look for the Enatai Eagle Academic Adventure Achievement Album to come home in backpacks next week.  Included with the album are two stickers to get students started on their 2019-20 collection. A sneak preview of an electronic version and more details about all the adventures are available on the Academic Adventure webpage!

The Egg Drop Challenge is one of the adventures that counts towards earning year end awards, so please sign up today!

BOX TOPS HAS A NEW LOOK!

The OLD BOX TOPS CLIPS are still being collected at school! These Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. You can still clip and send them to school.

Every valid Box Tops clip is worth 10¢ for your school. Make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.

THE NEW BOX TOPS LABELS will look like this:

Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label.

If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online. If you don't want to scan receipts yourself, you can send your original or copied receipts into school and we will make sure Enatai gets credit.

Book Fair is coming! Sept 30-Oct 4th

Scholastic Fall Book Fair is coming up September 30-Oct 4th. We are excited to announce that Scholastic has come up with a secure, cashless way for our students to shop the book fair. Starting September 13th to October 3rd, you can create an eWallet with the amount you select as a spending limit for your student. Your spending limit will appear as a temporary hold (or pending charge) on your credit card. You will ONLY be charged for what is purchased and after the fair ends, the hold will expire and funds will be released back to your credit card. Watch a short video for more details.

Go here to create your eWallet account:

Parents, check students backpacks early next week for the Scholastic Book Fair flyer.  Remember Scholastic Book Fairs flyers are not the same as the Scholastic Book Clubs flyers that teachers may have recently sent out.

Would you like to volunteer to help us at the Book Fair? Sign up HERE and grab a friend to make it more fun! We have lots of available times. Thanks for your support!   Questions: bookfair@enataiptsa.org
