Art of Discovery Volunteer Training 11/12

Share your love of art with our students and volunteer for the Art of Discovery Project coming this month to Enatai!  This year’s event will be held on November 19, 21, and 22 with a training session for volunteers on November 12th.  This long standing Puget Sound area program brings original artwork to schools to provide students with the opportunity to experience art up close and discuss them with their classmates.  The traveling exhibit theme this year will be Exploring Wildlife in Art: Free and Untamed and consist of art pieces by local artists such as Sherry Markovitz, Kenneth Callahan, Catherine Eaton Skinner, Philip McCracken, and more.

Volunteers will  lead small groups of students through the Art of Discovery exhibit at Enatai.  You can volunteer to help with your child's class!  Please go to our signup page for class dates and times:  https://signup.com/go/EZLYLqn.  There will be a quick training meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 2.30-3pm in the art room with our Art teacher, Ms. Davidson (your children are welcome to stay in the art room while the training happens).

Please let Ms. Davidson (davidsonje@bsd405.org) know if you have any questions about this event.

Reflections Art Walk 11/14

Come celebrate Enatai's student artists from 6:30-8:00 on November 14th at the Reflections Art Walk.  View all the amazing art created by the students in the theme of “Look Within” AND partake in a sample art docent lesson, appropriate for the entire family. There will also be snacks and a super-fun visual scavenger hunt.

Entries moving on to the district competition will be announced!

Reflections, the National PTA Art Contest, is an opportunity for Enatai student to create artwork based on the "Look Within" 2019-2020 theme and compete in categories such as 2D visual, literature, photography, music composition, film production and dance choreography.  Read more about it on our Reflections webpage.
