When: Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30pm*
Where: Enatai Library
*This is the same day and time as Enatai's Kindergarten Information Night for incoming students. Our meeting will be in the second floor library, upstairs and to the left from the front doors, while Kindergarten Information Night will be held in the first floor Multipurpose room.
The event team has been very busy working on the biggest fundraiser of the school year! The Totally 80’s Toast will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the Mercer Island Event Center. We are so excited to host all of you for an evening of food, drinks and dancing along with the opportunity to bid on teacher, family and group experiences, parties, travel and amazing items donated by local businesses, professional sports teams and art work created by our own Enatai students. Tickets go on sale February 1st. Remember that this is The Totally 80’s Toast, so don’t forget to plan your attire accordingly!
Donations needed for this year’s auction:
Here’s how YOU can help, I already know what you are thinking…
- I don’t want to bake, run, walk, participate in any physical activity, read, or attend any of the “extra” stuff before or after school hours.
- I am so busy (or lazy) and will not respond to any emails or sign-up Genius lists.
- I am so tired of volunteering.
- Please forget my name, face and stop asking me for things!
→ Well, if this speaks to you then we need your donations! Open your wallet and let some of that green fall out! Donate goods or services from your local business and we will auction them off to make some big dollars, ALL to benefit our Enatai students and then just tap-out!
Here is ANOTHER way that you can help:
- I love this school and I am happy to help so you can email me and let me know what you need and what day and time you need it….and I will be there!
→ If the above speaks to you then we need your time! Email and let us know how you would like to participate! Remember, if your company does matching for volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of your benefit!
Parties and Experiences:
We still have a few slots left open if you would like to host a party/experience to raise money for the PTSA at the Totally 80’s Toast. We are currently accepting donations for parties, goods and services from our Enatai families for goods and services through February 10th. Please contact toast@entaiptsa.org to join in the fun!

Do you participate in an after school activity? Have you always wanted to try a sport, drawing, crafting, karate, learn a language, improve at math, learn how to cook or a hundred other things?
This new year, give yourself the gift of choosing your own adventure and sticking with it for 12 weeks. Enatai Eagles can choose any adventure, make a plan, stick with it and then create their very own collectible sticker as a keepsake in their Academic Adventure Album. Already participating in an after-school activity? This is a perfect adventure to celebrate those outside-of-school accomplishments.
To get started, download your color packet today or pick up a black and white copy at the STEM Room Kiosk. Kids should start this adventure no later than January 27 to have enough time to complete the adventure and turn in their sticker designs by May 15 to the office. Adults may also participate and submit their own packet: it can be fun to set goals as a family or with friends at school!
Questions about this Adventure? Please email Kathy Green Wilson at academicadventure@enataiptsa.
We can't wait to see your sticker designs and hear about your Adventure!
Notice: The 5th Grade hosted Staff Appreciation event has been postponed to January 21st. Existing signups have been contacted via email. Thank you!

It’s time for the first Movie Night of the decade! Save the date of Friday, January 31st to see Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019). Based on the worldwide Pokémon phenomenon, this movie features terrific special effects, and a plush little title character you’re sure to fall in love with. Pikachu teams up with the son of a missing detective, and together the two of them set off to solve a mystery.
This film is rated PG. To see if it is appropriate for your child, please see the parents’ guide and trailer on CommonSenseMedia.org.
There are always fun surprises at Movie Night, so make sure to join your neighbors and friends for some family entertainment. Movie Nights are held in the Multipurpose Room. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the event begins at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free thanks to your support of Enatai PTSA. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Enatai Elementary PTSA invites you to a special screening of the new documentary, Screenagers: NEXT CHAPTER (2019) on Thursday, February 6th at 5:15 p.m. The screening will be held in the Chinook Middle School Commons.
Filmmaker and physician Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers: NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience—a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
This new film is a follow-up to the groundbreaking film, Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age (2016), which you may have seen when it was presented by the Enatai PTSA in 2017. The Bellevue Schools Foundation is sponsoring the February screening. The PTSAs of Chinook, and International School will co-host, along with Enatai.
Admission is free and open to the public. Advance registration is requested. Register at https://tinyurl.com/yxywynsx
The Spring Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Enatai Elementary School February 3rd through February 7th.
Why does Enatai host Scholastic book fairs? The Scholastic Book Fair helps Enatai PTSA earn Scholastic Dollars (.50 cents for each dollar spent) to purchase books for each classroom and school library as well as "Scholastic News" for ALL students. The book fair also helps encourage the love of reading and allows for an opportunity to get books into students hands.
If you have questions, please email bookfair@enataiptsa.org.
If you volunteer in the classroom or on field trips, you need to complete a background check!
Link to free background check: https://app.verifiedvolunteers.com/en/Candidates/Account/Register
Students learn best in safe, secure, and stable environments. All adult volunteers in the Bellevue School District are required to complete a background check through Sterling Volunteers. For a listing of common questions and answers, please visit this Frequently Asked Questions page .
All volunteers must complete a background check every third year (Procedure 5630P Volunteers). A reminder email will be sent one month prior to the expiration date.
