Chair an Event in 2013-2014

As we are winding down toward the end of the year, it is time to find our chairs for next year’s fantastic community events.  Please look at the Google doc linked below for opportunities to make our school great.  These positions need to be filled by June 9, because the last PTSA board meeting of the year is on June 10 and we need to create a calendar for next year at that meeting.

2013-2014 Events Google Doc

We would love to see a chair and a co-chair for each of the events.   Chairing an event does not mean you are doing the entire thing by yourself!  There will be people volunteering to help you and support you every step of the way.  Every one of the positions listed in the Google doc has a notebook which includes detailed information by the previous chair.  These positions do not need to be reinvented, though you can change anything you like for the success of the event.

An added benefit of chairing or co-chairing an event is that you will learn more about the Enatai PTSA and meet new families you might not otherwise come in contact with.  Stepping in and volunteering for one of these positions is a great way to show your child how much you care about their school and its success.

If you have any questions about any of this, please email Joni Scalzo (joniscalzo@comcast.net).

PTSA Newsletter and Website

Thanks for visiting our Enatai PTSA website! We hope you find the information that you’re looking for. If you have suggestions or comments, or if you would like to request a mention in Enatai’s PTSA newsletter or on this website, please send an email to communications@enataiptsa.org.

If you’re not receiving the Enatai PTSA newsletter, but would like to, it goes out to all families who have provided the school with an email address. The first time you get the email, you must click the “Opt In” button at the top of the email – this is the only way you’ll be able to receive the email all year! You can also click on this link to go to our sign-up form.

The newsletter is sent to your email inbox every other Tuesday. It is your go-to-guide.  Inside you’ll find the news from our Principal, school events, afterschool activities, lunch menu and much more. The newsletter will also include a link to TEESO, our new volunteer website. We’ll also make sure that newsletter content is available on this website as we evolve our communications strategy for 2012-2013.

How to Become a PTSA Member

We’re setting the bar high and working towards 100% PTSA membership this year! That means one member for every student. Forms will be available at the Ice Cream Social as well as Curriculum Night. You can pick up and drop off forms the office or download a copy here. Checks can be made out to Enatai PTSA and the form can be returned to the school office. A membership last for a year, so if you’ve signed up in the past now is your chance to sign up for this year. Membership includes this year’s student directory if you joining by the end of the month. If you have any questions please contact Marie Stark, membership@enataiptsa.org.

Buy a Book for Enatai’s Library

Mrs. Figdore has created an Amazon.com wishlist for Enatai Elementary’s library! You can buy a book and have it shipped right to the school – it’s a great way to get your order up to the $25 minimum for free shipping on Amazon.

When you do buy a book, be sure to check the box that indicates the book is a gift – you can then enter a gift message, so that Mrs. Figdore can be sure to add a note inside the book mentioning who donated it. (This is free – as long as you don’t choose gift-wrap!)

For the full list of books that the library would like, please visit http://amzn.com/w/3TGZB1JCRLFYQ.
