On Tuesday night Enatai was very fortunate to welcome local author, artist, and activist Sharon H. Chang for a special parent education program, How to Talk to Kids About Race. Thank you to all of the parents, teachers, and school staff in our community -- including those from neighboring schools -- who came out for this important and informative discussion! Ms. Chang also joined us on Wednesday for two assemblies for our students to talk about Race, Racism, Equity, and Justice. Enatai 4th and 5th graders who are part of the leadership group SOAR (Students Organized Against Racism) got to participate in the assemblies and show their leadership skills. Thank you to the PTSA for funding these events!

Enatai's 4th graders got to experience a naturalist-guided tour of the Cedar River Watershed Education Center this week and learn about water cycles at our region's primary water source! Students also got to see a waterfall, test water samples, touch an Elk antler, and even saw some bear poop! Thanks to the PTSA and to all of the parent volunteer chaperones who made this fun field trip possible!
