Toast To Enatai - Save The Date!  February 3, 2018!

The Toast to Enatai is a cocktail party fundraiser with opportunities to sign up to attend parent hosted parties like a wine tasting, ladies bunco night, minute it to win party and school experiences for your child like “teacher of the day”, game day and movie day! New this year is a VIP pre-party and short live auction featuring items like “Name the Playground". Enjoy appetizers, drinks, music and meeting fellow Enatai parents. Make this a date night, mom’s night or dad’s night and enjoy a fun night out celebrating and supporting Enatai!

Toast to Enatai is the biggest PTSA fundraiser of the year to help achieve our $100,000 goal by June. The PTSA needs to raise $100,000 to pay for student field trips, reading and math instructional aids, library books and other critical programs and materials for our kids. Toast to Enatai is a fun and special experience for parents and a great way to help achieve our $100,000 goal.

Stay tuned for more details about this fun night and for now, add February 3 to your calendar!

BSD Funding Presentation @ Newport High - Nov 20 @ 7pm

Enatai Parents Rachel Li, Julie Uyeda, and Kerry Hill attended last night's BSD School Funding presentation at Bellevue High.  It was a fascinating and eye-opening presentation by BSD Deputy Superintendent Melissa DeVita, who really knows her stuff.  The information she shares during the presentation AFFECTS YOU DIRECTLY -- as a citizen, as a homeowner, and as a parent.

We strongly encourage you to attend the one remaining session, which will be at Newport HS, this coming Monday, November 20th at 7pm.  Registration is free, but they request that you register so that they know how many people to expect.

November Board Meeting Minutes

In an effort to keep everyone informed about what happens at board meetings, and hopefully showing everyone that being on the board an great way to volunteer at school; not an additional part-time job, we will be publishing our Board Meeting Minutes in the newsletter.

Click this link to read our November board meeting minutes.  The next board meeting is December 6th at 6:30 PM in the Library.  We encourage anyone who would like to attend to do so.

Reflections Art Contest - Winners Announced!

Each of the artists featured at the Art Walk on Wednesday night week thoughtfully considered what the theme “Within Reach” means to him or her. The process of thinking about a theme and representing it in art is a creative endeavor that each artist should be proud of accomplishing.

If you missed the Art Walk, art will be available to view at school through 11/22.  You can also click this link to view a PDF list of all the entries moving to District competition. The viewer's choice selected by the Art Walk attendees is second grade Aiden K's visual art, "Within Reach."

Art moving to district competition will be judged early in 2018, so you can expect further feedback in January or February. Art that is staying at Enatai will be returned to classrooms by December 1.

Box Tops Collection Contest Ends Monday!

Put your box tops in your student's backpack after school today, because the deadline to collect box tops is this Monday!  Put them in an for the an envelope or Ziploc labeled with their grade level to get them counted in the grade level Box Tops Collection Contest.

~ There will be no newsletter next week, as we'll all be on Thanksgiving Holiday.  See you in December! ~
