Fun Surprise at Movie Night Tonight!  12/7

There will be a fun surprise and special guests at Movie Night tonight! Don’t miss out! Come early to select your seats and get your snacks. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. screening of The Incredibles 2.

Kids like to bring blankets and pillows. Chairs are available, but you may also bring your own. Please keep your folding high-back chairs on the perimeters. No drop-offs, please. This is a family event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free, thanks to your donations to PTSA.

We are short on volunteers, so if you’re attending Movie Night, why not sign up to work a shift while you’re there? Please click here. We especially need parents to make the popcorn and run the snack bar. Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 (2018) will be the featured attraction. Rated “PG.”

Check out the review and trailer on CommonSenseMedia.org to determine if The Incredibles 2 is suitable for your child.

Health Advisory: In this film, there are scenes containing flashing strobe lights, which may affect individuals with photosensitivity, and/or those who have epileptic seizure concerns.

Enatai Drama Program: Parent Information Meeting 12/12

Attention Parents of Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Students!
Enatai Staff and the PTSA have teamed up to bring a new after-school Drama Program to Enatai.  It will provide opportunities for third, fourth, and fifth grade students to act in a large scale dramatic production directed by professional actors Angela and Terence Kelley.  Students will also be able to participate in technical behind-the-scenes roles.  Angela and Terence Kelley have directed large scale dramatic productions at Newport Heights Elementary for almost 20 years.   The full program will run from January to March with auditions on January 21st and 22nd.

Learn more about the play, parts that require auditions, roles that do not require auditions, rehearsal commitments, and other key information at this Parent information meeting on Wednesday, December 12th at 6:30pm.  JUST ANNOUNCED: The play will be "The Wizard of Oz"!

Enatai Geo Bee Go Go Go!

A weekend study session with Mrs Chun

The first ever National Geographical Bee Enatai competition will take place on Jan 13, 2019.   Twenty-three students from 4th and 5th Grades have signed up and are doing extensive reading to prepare for this competition.  Some of the students have also formed study groups and meet at school to share information and help practice.  Good luck to all Enatai Geo Bee kids!

Feel free to stop by the big maps in the hall way to test yourself and have some Geo fun.  If you are in 4th or 5th Grade and interested in this competition,  the registration is open till end of December and email Passportclub@enataiptsa.org to sign up.

Read-a-Thon Early Report

Thank you to all our Enatai Families who participated in this year's Read-a-thon!  Our Read-a-thon Chair is hard at work with the many reading logs we received.  Prizes will be announced next week for our lucky readers and classrooms!  Preliminary estimates show we raised about $12,000 for our school programs!

Fundraisers such as Read-a-thon help the PTSA provide curriculum enhancement programs such as assemblies, field trips, and special activities!  The PTSA also provides grants for library and classroom supplies and helps provide Math and Reading Aides!  Read more about why we fundraise here:  PTSA Fundraising and Budget.

Thank you, Enatai!
