Read-A-Thon is underway!

Is your student ready to read for Read-a-thon?  Students should be gathering books and looking for sponsors in preparation for the start of their reading marathon on Monday, November 19th!  Information packets went home last week and additional copies are also available online:  Readathon webpage.  You may also use this website to record reading logs, starting Monday!

Remember: any assigned reading for school counts for the Read-A-Thon; sponsors should be people you know; and participation is a big part of the program so please let your teacher know if you need help finding a sponsor!  Prizes are available!  Everyone can participate and practice their reading skills in this fun, all-school event!

Have fun and happy reading!

Movie Night to feature THE INCREDIBLES 2

Bring the super heroes in your family to the first Movie Night of the year! Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles 2 will be the featured attraction. Mark your calendars now: Friday, December 7, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Enatai Multipurpose Room. Admission is free. There are always fun surprises in store at Movie Night, so don't miss out!

In the long-awaited sequel to The Incredibles, the crime-fighting Parr family returns in The Incredibles 2 to continue its action-packed crusade against bad guys. This time the family encounters a villain trying to smear the reputations of all superheroes. The Incredibles 2 recently won the 2018 People's Choice Award for Favorite Family Movie.

This film is rated PG. Check out the review and the trailer on CommonSenseMedia.org to see if this movie is appropriate for your child.

Health Advisory: The Incredibles 2 contains scenes with rapidly flashing strobe lights which may be an issue for those with photosensitivity and/or epilepsy/seizure concerns.

Congratulations to Gigi Liu and Julie Uyeda! They read last week's newsletter, and guessed correctly that The Incredibles 2 will be the main attraction at Movie Night!
