Principal Coffee and BSD Volunteer Training  10/29 & 11/6

NEW! Principal MacDonald will be providing morning and evening BSD orientation sessions for volunteers helping out in classrooms, at school sponsored events, or as a chaperone for field-trips. The purpose of this orientation is to provide clear and consistent messaging and support about the role, expectations, and benefits of serving as a parent volunteer in our schools. If you plan on volunteering for any reason at Enatai during the 2019-20 school year, please plan on attending a volunteer orientation session.

The training Principal MacDonald is providing is different from last month's PTSA Volunteering 101 presentation.  To support the many languages of Enatai families, online translation will be available.

Principal MacDonald will be offering two sessions:

Date: Tuesday, October 29th
Time: 8:10-9:00 AM
Location: STEM Room

Date: Wednesday, November 6th
Time: 7:30-8:00 PM
Location: Library

Following the Principal Coffee, join us for our monthly PTSA Volunteers Meeting!

Thank you to those who were able to attend last month's PTSA Volunteer Meeting!  The topic of the meeting was "Volunteering 101", which focused on what the PTSA helps support, the events planned for the year, and what administrative tools should be used by Event/Program Chairs.

Join us after this week's Principal Coffee (& BSD Volunteer Training) for October's PTSA Volunteers' Meeting. We will be discussing upcoming PTSA events (Read-A-Thon, Staff Appreciation Lunches, Reflections Art Walk, Movie Night and more) and tricks and tips about being a room parent!   Questions? Date: Tuesday, Oct 29th, 2019
Time: 9-10am
Location: STEM Room

Jazz Morning Combo 10/29

Parents!  Need more incentive to get out of bed in the morning or to come to the next Principal's Coffee?   On Tuesday, Oct 29th we have a Jazz Combo from Bellevue High School coming to play our students into school from 7:30-8:00 am.  Stop by and enjoy the music!  We have at least two Enatai Alumni playing in the combo and hope to have more BHS student musicians visit us in the future!

Last days to contribute to Socktober Sock Drive

It's Socktober!  Please donate new socks of any size BEFORE October 31st!  Socks can be dropped off in the bin located in the Enatai office.  New socks will be distributed to the Sophia Way, Eastside Baby Corner, and the Union Gospel Mission.

Reflections Entry Forms are now available!
Reflections, the National PTA Art Contest, is an opportunity for Enatai student to create artwork based on the "Look Within" 2019-2020 theme and compete in categories such as 2D visual, literature, photography, music composition, film production and dance choreography.  Read more about it on our Reflections webpage.

Participants should download the Entry Form with their specific category rules at the Reflections webpage and the Submission Checklist to complete their project.   Paper copies of the rules and entry forms are also available at the kiosk in front of the STEM Room at school.  Entry Deadline is November 1, 2019. This activity is part of the Academic Adventure program.

The Reflections Art Walk will be held on the evening of November 14th, 6:30-8:00pm. The Art Walk will include a family friendly art docent project and display this year's artist entries.

Make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date. Please bring them to the front office or have your student give them to their teacher by NOV 1st!

If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online. If you don't want to scan receipts yourself, you can send your original or copied receipts into school and we will make sure Enatai gets credit.
