National Field Day is Friday, May 8th

That’s right, my friends. Field day is still on! I have registered our school for National Field Day with Open Phys Ed.  You are not required to participate nor do you need to do anything leading up to the event. If you choose to participate, you can simply snap a picture or a video for us to share with our Enatai community!

Get out there and get moving!

Volunteer for PTSA Positions for 2020-2021 School Year

The Enatai Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a parent-driven volunteer organization dedicated to the social and academic enrichment of each student at Enatai Elementary.  Enatai PTSA is made up of executive Board members and Committee members that work with school leadership, staff, parents and students throughout the school year. PTSA coordinates activities such as educational programs, community events, fundraising, parent communication and enrichment activities.  Visit  http://enataiptsa.org/Program to learn more about the PTSA and the impact the organization makes.

Each year PTSA positions become available and we are looking for passionate volunteers who want to make a difference to fill these positions.

If you are interested in our open positions or have questions about Enatai PTSA involvement please contact vicepresident@enataiptsa.org

Reminder: Virtual Science Fair due 5/15

What is it? It’s an online school-wide event that allows students to better understand the scientific process by researching a scientific question. All Enatai students are welcome to participate! Instead of bringing the final projects to an event at school, we’ll post photos of the display boards and PDF posters on our science fair web pageProjects are due Friday, May 15th.

Become a Green Genius! Activity guides for students at home

Make Earth Day every day! Introducing “Green Genius” at home activity guides for grades K-5 and 6-12. All Bellevue School District schools have a Green Genius team made of staff and students that educate their school community on ways to conserve resources. The City of Bellevue and Bellevue School District would like to help everyone be a Green Genius at home too! Down the guides here.

The guides will help students learn how to
- store food to keep it fresh longer,
- properly sort recycling, food scraps, and garbage and how to conduct a home waste audit,
- recycle unusual items like batteries and broken electronics,
- conserve water and energy at home, and
- make crafts from reusable materials at home, such as a soup can instrument.

Households can do these activities together or students can work through these guides on their own. Even though they are designed for youth, the actions apply to adults too! Share photos of any projects you complete from this guide to recycle@bellevuewa.gov. The City of Bellevue or Bellevue School District may post your photos on their websites or social media in the future.
